John R. Graue II, TH.D., BCPCC
John "Randy" Graue has been employed by Applied Psychological Services since 2006. Randy is a licensed psychologist and has practiced in the field of mental health for 37 years. He obtained a Master of Science in Psychology from Pittsburg State University in 1974. He obtained a Doctorate of Theology in Scriptural Psychology (Christian Counseling) in 2004 from Heart of America Christian College and Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
Randy has developed a broad base of clinical techniques over the years to treat individuals. Since 1980, he has specialized in the treatment of trauma survivors of all types, including those suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder and dissociative disorder. He uses visual imagery, trance work, various dynamic strategies and cognitive behavioral techniques to resolve trauma and treat individuals for other psychological problems. Upon individual request, he also utilizes Christian Counseling Strategies and Forgiveness Therapy.
Randy has helped clients reduce prescribed medication through the effective usage of therapy. He has helped people to stay out of and even leave institutions to be able to live independently. Randy has helped people with chronic pain to live less painful and more productive lives. Randy has made a tremendous positive impact on countless individuals through the years and brings the longest professional practice to Applied Psychological Services.
Randy was born in Joplin, Missouri. He is married to Jackie and has two adult children, Randa and Damon, and three granddaughters, Bailee, Sydnie, and Stephanie. Randy loves most all types of music and was a professional drummer and played keyboards for 45 years. He has a close personal relationship with God and his life has been a powerful ministry in the service of others.
